Industrial equipment manufacturing becomes more complex when process performance, pressure boundary requirements, material selection, fabrication tolerances, and code compliance all have to be resolved within the same project. Artisan brings those disciplines together through an integrated engineering and manufacturing model, allowing custom equipment and complete systems to move seamlessly from early technical definition through fabrication, inspection, testing, and final assembly.
Artisan unites chemical, process, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering with in-house welding, machining, testing, and assembly. Within its 120,000 sq. ft. facility in Stoughton, Massachusetts, the team manufactures engineered-to-order equipment ranging from custom ASME pressure vessels and large separation columns to Rototherm® evaporators, rotary valves, skidded chemical process systems, and complex automated process equipment.
This integrated model gives customers a single technical partner for equipment that must meet demanding process conditions, dimensional requirements, material specifications, code obligations, and installation needs. Broad fabrication and machining capability
Large CNC machining, welding, waterjet cutting, Wire E.D.M., post-weld heat treatment, hydrotesting, passivation, polishing, and precision inspection allow Artisan to manufacture complex equipment, large parts, and skid-mounted systems.

Artisan produces industrial rotary valves, pressure vessels, and precision rotating equipment for specialized separation applications, including decades of joint development with Honeywell UOP for Sorbexâ„¢ processes such as Parexâ„¢, Molexâ„¢, and MX Sorbexâ„¢.
Contract machining and fabrication projects
For projects that require experienced industrial manufacturing capacity, Artisan’s facility can also handle contract machining and fabrication work, including large, tight-tolerance CNC milling and lathe work, waterjet cutting for stainless steel, carbon steel, titanium, aluminum, and non-metallic parts, and precision Wire E.D.M. cutting.

The same facility also brings practical manufacturing depth to complex builds, with a 40-ton high-bay crane for handling large components and more than 140 ASME Section IX and PED welding procedures across manual, semi-automatic, orbital, and fully automated robotic processes.
