Artisan Rising Film Evaporators are applied in preheating and preconcentration processes across chemical, polymer, food, and pharmaceutical applications where material behavior, heat transfer, and evaporation performance must be carefully balanced. Artisan engineers specify and configure each evaporator system around the customer’s operating conditions, material characteristics, process objectives, and integration requirements.
In operation, feed enters the evaporator on the tube side from the bottom and is heated as it moves upward. Vapor formation creates a rising film along the tube wall, while ascending vapor bubbles carry liquid and vapor through the tubes in parallel flow. This upward movement generates turbulence in the liquid phase, making rising film evaporation especially useful for materials that become highly viscous or have a tendency to foul heat transfer surfaces.
