Artisan Industries designs each Artisan SPS® for optimum performance based on the specific application. An SPS® can range in size from 2” to 36” in diameter and with 1 to over 4 stages (13 to 52 disc and tubes). The size of the unit largely depends on the feed rate, evaporation rate, operating pressure, and final product specifications. A single unit can process as little as a few pounds an hour to as much as thousands of pounds of material per hour, depending on the size of the unit. The SPS® jackets can be designed for hot water, steam or hot oil heating, depending on the application operating temperature. Construction materials include stainless steel (300 series and Duplex), carbon steel, nickel, Inconel®, Monel®, Hastelloy®, and titanium. The SPS® can be designed for food or chemical grade and any location requirements (geographic and area classification).
